[ ] De-Icers - Off
[ ] Anti-Icer Pumps and Valves- Off
[ ] Automatic Pilot - Off
[ ] Lights - On
[ ] Flight Controls - Free
[ ] Carburetor Air Filter - Unfilter, then locked
[ ] Crossfeed - Off
[ ] Trim Tabs - Neutral
[ ] Parking Brake - On
[ ] Tailwheel - Locked
[ ] Throttle Friction Brake - Snug
[ ] Oil Shutters - Adjust as Required
[ ] Carburetor Air - Cold
[ ] Fuel Selector - As required
[ ] Propellers - Full Forward, High RPM
[ ] Throttles - Cracked
[ ] Mixtures - Above Idle Cut-Off
[ ] Blowers - Low
[ ] Pitot Heater - Off
[ ] Inverter - On

ENGINE START


[ ] Left Magneto Switch - On
[ ] Fuel Booster Pump - On
[ ] Call "CLEAR" to ground crew
[ ] Start Switch - ON LEFT, 10 to 15 seconds
[ ] Start Switch - OFF
[ ] Left Mixture - Auto-Rich
[ ] Repeat for Right Engine

[ ] Hydraulic Pressure - 850-900 psi
[ ] Radios - On, Checked

[ ] Flight Controls - Free

WHEN GIVEN TAXI CLEARANCE FROM CONTROL TOWER:

[ ] Tailwheel Lock - Unlocked

[ ] Fuel Selector - All Tanks
[ ] Props thru Full Pitch Range
[ ] Feathering Switches - Check
[ ] Carb Heat - On, Check, Off
[ ] Generators - Check
[ ] Ignition- Each Engine - MP 30", Magnetos to L, BOTH, R, then back to BOTH
[ ] Hydraulic Pumps - Check
[ ] All Instruments and Gauges - Normal

[ ] Mixtures - Auto Rich (Full Rich Used For Single Engine Emergency)
[ ] Cowl Flaps - Trail then Off
[ ] Oil Shutters - As Required
[ ] Propellers - Full Forward, High RPM
[ ] Gyros - Set and Uncaged
[ ] Fuel Booster Pumps - On
[ ] Friction Brake - Tightened
[ ] Tailwheel - Locked when lined up with runway

CLIMB

[ ] Landing Gear - Up (After Positive Climb Indication)
[ ] Wheels- Stop Rotation With Brakes
[ ] Accelerate to VY 105 KIAS then Reduce to MP 41", 2550 RPM
[ ] Fuel Booster Pumps - Off
[ ] At 500' AGL Reduce to 35.5", 2400 RPM

[ ] Cowl Flaps - As Required and Off
[ ] Mixtures - Auto Lean
[ ] Fuel Selector - To Desired Cruise Tanks
[ ] Oil Shutters - As Required
[ ] Adjust Power as Desired: Normal Cruise - MP 32" 2000 RPM, Economy Cruise - MP 31" 1850 RPM
